Self-esteem is important because, it affects us virtually in all areas of life. It affects our choices, beliefs in ourselves and our decisions.
Self-esteem serves a motivational that can be used in making it more or less likely that we will take care of ourselves, like ourselves, respect ourselves and explore who we are.
On a deeper level self-esteem is important to how we see ourselves and our world.
When I first started off as a life coach, regardless of the issues my clients presented, I discovered it was always linked to low self-esteem. For this reason I dedicated to specialise exclusively on the building and maintenance of healthy high self-esteem.
When self-esteem is low, there is often a weakness in the relationship with ourselves. This manifest in a number of ways the main one being negative self-talk, blaming and self-sabotaging behaviours, which stagnates the process us moving forward emotional and mental so that we can heal and grow.
